Technology Entrepreneurship

     Overview

For the entrepreneurs of the future

Our lecture Technology Entrepreneurship / Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship serves as a first introduction to the topic of entrepreneurship for students. Through practical content and well-known examples, the importance of start-ups for the future development of our society is presented and highlighted in economic context. It is shown how innovative thinking can create impulses that can be implemented and implemented across the various disciplines to ultimately bring about positive changes and solutions to people’s problems.

The core of this practical application orientation is the topic of business model development. How can innovative business models be found for current problems? Which phases are passed through during this process of conceptualization? What methods are available for generating innovative business models for technology-oriented companies and which of these have proven particularly successful? In particular, the topic of business models is defined, systematized and delineated in detail at this point, and differences and special features of business models in different industries are presented.

Promotion of an entrepreneurial mindset as the core objective of the course

In order for the students to deal more intensively with the topic of entrepreneurship, they must develop their own business ideas in the course of this course in teamwork and formulate the corresponding business model with the help of the “Business Model Canvas” and present it at the end.

The organizational procedure as well as the examination modalities can be found in the menu items on this page. The course is supervised and organized via Stud.IP.

Following the event, students have the opportunity to work on and further develop their business ideas in the co-working space of the Entrepreneurship Hub at Ostfalia University. We provide the necessary infrastructure for this. In addition, they have the opportunity to exchange ideas with the start-ups on site at the time.
